Gorée. Located just a few kilometers off the coast of Dakar, this island steeped in history, accessible by a short boat trip, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Occupied successively by the Portuguese, the Dutch, and then the French, it was, from the 17th century onwards, one of the main centers of the slave trade in West Africa.

Lors de cette visite guidée à pied, vous serez

Immersed in a setting that is both poignant and captivating: sandy alleyways lined with houses boasting ochre facades, colorful wooden balconies, and a peaceful atmosphere that contrasts with a past deeply marked by history. You will discover, in particular, the famous House of Slaves, an emblematic memorial site where captives were held before their departure into the unknown. This powerful and emotionally charged experience is a striking testament to history and leaves no visitor unmoved.

The tour continues through other historical sites on the island before boarding the launch again for Dakar. Upon arrival, a delicious lunch will be served at a local restaurant, offering you the opportunity to discover the richness of Senegalese cuisine.
